CALGARY, Alberta, May 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- High Arctic Energy Services Inc. (TSX: HWO ) (“High Arctic” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce the results of the annual general meeting of the shareholders of High Arctic held on May 10, 2018 (the “Meeting”). 38 shareholders holding a total of 29,874,406 common shares of the Corporation were represented at the Meeting in person or proxy, representing approximately 56.33% of the total votes attached to all issued and outstanding common shares of the Corporation as of the record date on April 5, 2018. Voting on all matters at the Meeting was conducted by a show of hands other than the election of directors which was conduct by ballot. All matters put forth at the Meeting were approved.
In respect of the election of directors, as previously announced in the Corporation’s new release dated May 2, 2018, Mr. James Hodgson announced that he would not be standing for re-election. Accordingly, the shareholders approved fixing the number of directors at six with the remaining six nominees named in the Corporation’s management information circular dated April 5, 2018 being considered for election as directors. At the Meeting, the six management nominees were elected, being Michael R. Binnion, Simon P. D. Batcup, Daniel J. Bordessa, Honourable Joe Oliver, Ember W.M. Shmitt and Steven R. Vasey. The detailed results of the vote for the election of directors, which was conducted by ballot, are set out below:
