I have a much better and more logical defense for SA (than the Greek or WWII or pre-school defense):

Clearly, Ram was contacted by “space aliens” who did a "Vulcan mind meld” with him to transmit the OOBA technology to his brain.

Since the technology originated somewhere in the universe outside of Planet Earth, and Ram didn’t think of or invent OOBA himself, the earthly laws about patent ownership don’t apply.

Consequently, the technology should be free for SA and everyone else to use!

I should have been an SA lawyer!!!
