After exchanging info with Trent, the web designer, it appears likely that corporate administrative controls are the cause of the graphics issues I noticed.
Anyhow, that's just at work, and at home I'll soon be upgrading to a faster machine running either some version of Linux or Windows 10.
Think I'll spend a little time reading up on pros/cons for both and leave Windows 7 Pro for the grandkids to play games on. Michael Welch said they planned on having the HEMPd site back up today.
