Only PeerLogix Provides the Official Over-the-Top Viewership Results for Non-subscription Services
NEW YORK, NY, May 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PeerLogix, Inc. (the "Company") (“We”) (OTC: LOGX), the established standard for tracking non-subscription based Over-the-Top (“OTT”) engagement data, today announced its reporting on select monthly estimates for the measurement period ending April 30th, 2018, as compiled by the company’s proprietary measurement services.
PeerLogix is the established standard for tracking non-subscription based over-the-top viewership data of television, movies, and listeners of music around the world. Reports of on-going usage and specific shows and media are available directly from the company and made available to partners upon engagement. Much of the company’s April viewership and engagement data has already been made available to partners, and a brief synopsis is provided herein.
Cumulative video hours for non-subscription OTT services in the month of April was observed at 138 million hours which was a +9.26% increase from the prior month. Based on this rate of growth, the Company estimates that total video hours watched for Q2-2018 will be approximately 420 million hours.
“Much of the increase in April was driven by an uptick in television series popularity across OTT platforms. Consumers are increasingly migrating to streaming services as their primary means to watch everyday TV shows. The SVOD (“on demand”) model for television is rapidly maturing and catching up to that of movies which were the first entertainment category to go ’on demand’,” said William Gorfein for PeerLogix. “We expect this trend to continue for the foreseeable future.”
Notable to both market observers and advertisers were the specific television content popular over the measurement period. Taking a deeper dive, the Company’s April measurement results showed very strong popularity of HBO’s Westworld leading the pack with 272 thousand hours streamed.
