CLEARWATER, Fla., May 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On May 8, Mr. Christopher King, grandson of Blues Legend BB King and founder of the Gentlemen’s Course non-profit organization, delivered human rights education to over 40 students and teachers at Durant High School in the wake of 18 year-old Grover Wills being shot and killed at a nearby gas station. United for Human Rights, an international organization sponsored by the Church of Scientology and which educates on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, supplied Mr. King with their educational materials.
“Shootings like this are a blatant violation of our human rights,” said Mr. King. “We need to work at a grass-roots level to educate our youth on their rights so they can properly defend themselves and others. Right now it is more important than ever to know your human rights.”
Mr. King’s seminar included an overview of his non-profit called the Gentlemen’s Course where he educates on etiquette, decorum, appearance, diction and how to treat others properly. Mr. King incorporated his partnering program, Youth for Human Rights, and spoke about the treacheries of human trafficking.
This seminar is one in a series of educational seminars Mr. Christopher King is delivering around the Tampa Bay area. Over the last week, Mr. King has spoken in 3 schools to 240 students and will visit another 3 schools.
