CLEARWATER, Fla., May 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On May 7, Boy Scout Troop 313 held their semi-annual Court of Honor – a ceremony which congratulates the efforts that the boys put into their training by promotions to the next ranking, badges and other awards. The ceremony was held in the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center in Downtown Clearwater, which is fully supported by the Church of Scientology Clearwater.
“I love to have the Scouts come into my center and especially for a ceremony like this,” said Clemence Chevrot, Director for the Clearwater Community Volunteer Center. “To see the different families come together to support the Scouts reminds me of what humanitarian L. There were 41 Scouts, Scouters and parents at the CCV Center for the awarding of the boys’ ranks. Ten Scouts received their next rank or hard-earned Merit Badges and five of those Scouts are on the runway to achieving the rank of Eagle Scouts.
The Clearwater Community Volunteer Center has been working with the Boy Scouts since its opening on the 24 th of March along with over 15 other nonprofit organizations. The center provides the venue, catering, and equipment for free to the Boy Scouts, as it does to all of the not-for-profit groups that it works with.
Troop 313 is open to boys of any faith, as is any troop. Boys in the Scouting program are encouraged to be faithful and loyal, as laid out in the Scout Oath and Law.
