Reposting what was accidently deleted yesterday.I'm sure it won't be again today.
(With some additional comments)
I am informing the board of this not because I am such a "wonderful person" but
to remind people why WE are here in the first place and that "WE" need to work
together to improve the world we live in.
IPIX will give many of us the opportunity to do just that.
I was never in the military myself.I would have enlisted if the Vietnam war was a
"legal" war, declared as such by Congress.Never drafted because Draft # too high.
Some here (Maby many here) were in the military and I cannot help but pay my respects
and thanks for your servive to our country.Memorial day commeth and WE take the time to
honor and remember those who gave the ultimate gift to each of us by sacrificing their lives to protect
our freedom.
So those in the military have already "paid it forward".Thank You.But that leaves me to do what I can
in my own small way to benefit other's lives since the military was not in the cards for me.
So unbeknownst to everyone here (and many in our own circle of friends),my wife and I have spent the last
26 years helping homeless and embattled families from Hartford,Ct.,Boston , Ma,and Albany,NY.to get out of the ghettos
and help their children have the chance to have a real childhood instead of being "moving targets" for drive-by's.
I know that I can't say "Semper-Fi" (wish I could) but I can say that my wife and I have been in the trenches of
human despair and desperation working with the rejects of society.(In many ways,I find that the "Rejects of Society"
have more class and "GUTS" than some here on the SMB's).Pity.
I am in hopes that IPIX will truly BLOSSOM so that my wife and I can scale up our efforts and help more so we wait(and
wait,and wait).
But to those who are military, you have our (me and my wife) undying love and appreciation and thanks and those who have given
their "ALL", we deeply honor and miss their presence always and not just on Memorial Day.
And , No,,Nigga is NOT a derogatory term.It is street slang for FRIEND.But many here wouldn't know that unless they get
out of their Ivory Tower once in a while. But I digress..Nuff Said.
