DALLAS, May 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Armanino LLP, one of the top 25 largest accounting and business consulting firms in the U.S., announced today Jeff Owens, partner-in-charge of audit in its Dallas office, will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (SMU). The honor recognizes an SMU Cox alumni under the age of 40 with a position of distinction in the business community while serving as active civic leaders and community partners.

Jeff has more than 16 years of experience in public accounting. As the leader of the Dallas audit department, he focuses on serving the nonprofit and technology sectors. There he helps clients keep up with the accounting and tax regulatory environment, maintain strong financial reporting processes and internal controls and access the capital markets.
He is a member of Armanino’s audit partner counsel and the firm’s partner nominating committee. Jeff’s dedication to the industry extends beyond the firm through his membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jeff received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from Southern Methodist University in 2001 and 2002, respectively.
Jeff is one of two recipients of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award and will be recognized on Friday, May 11 at the Cox School of Business Alumni Awards Luncheon.
