Recycling motor oil/waste oil is already done by various processes, either by centrifuge,or by heating to essentially distill and crack oil similar to they way a pyrolysis or refinery setup would work. There's absolutely no reason to believe that PTOI's processor can convert waste oil into something better than the processes used and improved upon for decades can already do.
I think it's a fool's errand to attribute super-powers to PTOI's process. PTOI's claims were that the process could profitably convert plastic into fuel. Those claims turned out to be fraudulent but anyone assuming that the process can profitably convert HTF/waste oil or assuming that the process is overall environmentally friendly or assuming anything else is just tricking themselves into believing something which PTOI hasn't even claimed.
Shareholders can blame Mr. Heddle for a lot of deception...but they can't blame him for untrue claims which shareholders manufactured themselves.
