I was in Mr Bruno's house with my Dad as a kid. We lived a few blocks away. His house was a "rowhouse" on the outside, and fine living on the inside with nothing but Italian marble tables and window sills. I recall that he was a very nice and gentle man. A family man in every sense of the word. They like to refer to his business as money made from "victimless" crimes - betting; loans; prostitution; security; etc. Implied, but, no real violence - well, not much. The real threat was there so you didn't get out of line.
After he died, things got violent fast as the drug business was heavy in Philly.
Sorry for being so off topic. That was a long time ago. BTW, I did have an Uncle Angelo. He was a fine man!
