Wow this looks like an awesome development. The Patent and Trademark office PTAB already gave SFOR their giant seal of approval in October 2017, then nearly immediately, two infringers settled with SFOR before the judge in the SecureAuth case caused a delay for the rest of the cases.
Now the Federal Appeal judges have additional guidance from the Supreme Court that favors SFOR greatly IMO and it also removes some additional stalling tactics.
As the word percolates through the legal departments of the infringers, they are going to have much more incentive to settle now and adjust.
Can you imagine how the Ropes and Gray team representing Strikeforce is feeling today? I can! I bet they are happily compiling docs for potential future SFOR cases against other infringers.
