The wash trading is done between two MM's. Those trades are not real trades. I sell you 10K, you buy 10K from me then later you sell me 10K and I buy 10K. At the end of the day we are saying 40K changed hands but in reality it was no real shares traded. We agree and that is one of the reasons why the wash trading is done so the short percentage will appear to be lower than it actually is. Just like they did 24,000 shares in T trades so those shares would not be shown as being sold short today. (I haven't checked yet to see if they did any T trades after the close.) Go IPIX!!!
