This is the kinda post I like from you, makes me think about stuff...
Agreed on the large percent of the population accepting free. However, I don't think people that intend on buying the product for themselves is our niche market.
IMO, our niche market would be the following, order being debatable.
1. Big Auto (Deciding to make bSafeMobile a standard feature or at least option)
2. Businesses with Fleets, or just company vehicles in general. (Less accidents, lawsuits; and insurance breaks).
3. State/City Laws (If bSafeMobile was the required device for offenders).
4. Family's with young drivers (Parents will pay for their kids safety; and insurance breaks).
5. People who just want it for themselves.
That said, the price would not matter much to #2-4 there. A one time investment in the price... benefits that could last a lifetime, literally. Not to mention, for businesses, the savings related to preventing even one lawsuit. Just one could very easily cover the entire cost of their investment in the devices.
As for #1, who cares what price we sell to big auto. It's friggin' BIG AUTO!!
Go ONCI!
