Since you brought it up (and again I think that may have been in a private post) , fleet business is doing well. It did take about six months to get thru agency red tape. It's very easy to piggyback deals after you get the first one. Once you are established in public agencies it is a matter a finding products to sell to them. Always dealing with the same contacts. . So thankful I found this board and was able to recognize an opportunity.
No I'm not going to tell you what company it is because I know who I am dealing with in you.
There is room for everybody. I like the Cogosense OBD. As I stated I have one. It works well .It's just too expensive for most. As I said before , $100 is the sweet spot. The other device does almost exactly what Cogosense's product does but is a lot more affordable. And doesn't infringe anyone's patents cause they got their own. Businesses go for it because it affects their bottom line. People don't go for it because they always think they can change their own behavior.
I hope ONCI does well. It's the only publicly traded pure distracted driving device company (I'm not counting ATT or Apple). Maybe their new mold and cost structure will allow them to lower their prices. I would think a great % of their business comes from fleet sales as opposed to retail sales. My personal opinion is I doubt the sell thru at dealerships is substantial at the current price point.
Competition is good. It makes you work harder. You never let your guard down.
