This argument you keep going back to does not need to be answered, and will likely never be answered. It has no bearing on what is happening with ONCI.
Reluctantly, I offer a potential explanation.
Steve stated in the past that he wishes for his family and close friends to get rich on this venture he is on, with him. I believe he stated that aside from the shares he holds personally, his family and friends also hold large positions.
What easier way for them to get rich with him than running his venture through a publicly traded company?
That said, it still doesn't matter to me. I just feel fortunate that he did it how he did, or I would never have had this opportunity to join him.
