If you want to know why polling on guns is shifting so quickly, just look at the people that the right is rallying around in the weeks since the Parkland shooting.

NRA board member Ted Nugent is openly talking about shooting anti-Trump forces. Speaking with Alex Jones, Nugent said that liberals, Democrats, anti-Trump Republicans, Hollywood figures, the media, academia, and "half of our government, at least" are scam artists, and that "every time you see one, you shoot one."

This comes days after Nugent attacked the Parkland survivors as having "no soul," and weeks after Nugent shared a debunked hoax about one of the survivors.

Jones himself has a long history of promoting violence. He's frequently talked up a potential "civil war" and fantasized about who he would kill in such a scenario.

Just this week, Jones pushed a debunked conspiracy theory about Parkland survivor David Hogg, and then, in an incredibly disturbing moment, Jones said that "globalists" were planning a "false flag" to make Hogg a martyr.

Mike Adams, a regular guest on Jones' show, also launched an entire website targeting Hogg, full of debunked hoaxes and horrific smears. Adams' other website was also responsible for the hoax that Nugent shared.

Also: The newest hero to Fox News and NRATV has said that LGBTQ people are “devil worshiping child molesters,” referred to black Democrats as “slaves,” used a male pronoun to describe Michelle Obama, and called the Parkland survivors “silly little immature media prosti-tots."

YouTube shooting: There were a ton of hoaxes flying around in the wake of the mass shooting at YouTube's headquarters. Both NRATV and Alex Jones blamed YouTube for the incident.
