Evolve ETFs says international cannabis industry will be $30 billion by 2021.
Evolve ETFs, the company that manages the Evolve Marijuana ETF, manages 10 other ETFs on the Toronto Stock Exchange. According to President and CEO, Raj Lala:
“We believe the international cannabis industry is poised to exceed $30 billion by 2021, which would be a 60% compounded annual growth rate in the next few years. The next wave of growth could be driven by the globalization of the industry. Active management in SEED allows us to capitalize on these opportunities.”

The goal may be to invest in companies in other legal marijuana countries, but presently the fund is composed almost entirely of Canadian companies. The ETF holds funds in 25 companies. The overall composition is 94% Canadian and 6% Australian.
