Not sure anyone brought up what you are referring to on this board and many either only read this board or post on it for that very reason to get away from that trash.
What I've learned over the years is there will always be instigators that bait longs into arguments and every time that happens they win. Doesn't even matter what the heck they post. They could post they didn't like Rory's shoes and sure enough there will be 30 more posts arguing the topic.
What happens then is 50% of the posts are debating stupid stuff, 40% more are people telling everyone else their sp price predictions or how smart they were buying at the very low and selling at the peak, and the last 10% people sharing DD on the company. Unfortunately new investors are not going to wade through 100's of post and the negative ninnies win.
On this board that crap will get deleted. On the other board that crap will get buried by 100's of posts IF no one responds. I've never seen all longs band together and resist the temptation to respond as it's human nature to defend what you believe in. When people respond, what happens is you get 10 times more negative post and now what was just a crazy post is somehow justified because it's getting way more attention than it should. Want proof, look at that knuckle head that posts 100 times a day when he's either all in or out.
