As far as people not buying at .54 today, i think it has more to do with the fact that the basher attempt to take the price down at the close was pretty much a given -- with the long weekend ahead.
34, 650 shares traded in the last hour.
Total volume today: 86,610. This means that 40% of the volume was in the last hour.
So, it's obvious that individual traders have learned that they can wait till the last hour for their trades, and if someone pushes the stock down after being up all day -- they can get their stock at a better price if they wait till that last hour.
In no way do I think that this indicates a lack of demand. I think it shows that people are tired of being hosed for a couple of pennies, so they're waiting to do their buying.
