BB as you mention new equipment, just passing along some thoughts as we wait for our own news. I read some time ago with regard to cert, and a "new" airplane, the mini evac. slide deployment scenario could be simulated (for new aircraft). What I understood was that the FAA did not expect them to deploy brand new slides, so long as the airline manufacturer had essentially proven their process and passed their own Mini in getting the plane model itself certified. I looked for that briefly this morning, but could not find it. I last read it a few years back so things may have changed? Maybe someone has some feedback or can verify that? If that is the case, with new equipment, the pass rate maybe a lot closer to 100%, certainly would seem achievable in fewer attempts and less headache.
