I believe you're right. I've believed for a long time now that once popular opinion was behind legalization, the inevitable huge boost to the economy would become the catalyst that provides the final motivation for lawmakers. They aren't easily motivated, but if billions of
taxable dollars are being dangled in front of their faces, and for something already proven to be less dangerous than already-legal alcohol, you know damn well it'll eventually get their devoted attention. I agree, it'll most likely be leveraged as usual. The "ace in the hole". Regardless, we all win once it's a done deal.
