OLED has a life span of about 14,000 hours. Based on TV viewing of 8 hours per day, OLED TV has a life span of about 5 years. Those OLED TV sold in 2013 may start to show signs of degradation. Wait till complaint from OLED TV owners starts to surface, each OLED will be replaced dot by dot by QDLED.
QDLED does not degrade in high humidity environment, it is cheaper and easier to make, thus offers consumers cheaper QDLED TV with longer life span.
