About current stockexchange situation; due to political unrest in the World economy, the stockmarket reacts quickly. As we know this comes and goes in cycles - after rain will come sunshine 
again.
Investing is in many ways a "waiting game" - so patience is important.
One have to prepare as to the best of ones ability, onces you make a investment, you`re in it for good and bad as long as you keep the stock.
The look on time... is relative. One person can think one year is a long time to hold a stock, the next might have a view on 5 - 10 year ahead. There are so many unknown factors, so when it comes down to it - all we can do is a educated guess as best.
