All I can point you to is my own experiences with patients I strongly suggested speak to their doctor about medical mj and cbd oils. The cbd oils were prescribed to help inflammation due to severe arthritis but they were not prescribed Indica for pain because of the risks of affecting their heart which they already had issues with, and with with a history of VT. One aspect since many medical mj patients are aging boomers is when speaking with their doctor and their history with the drub many of them mentioned when they got high (on a lot less THC content than today's pot - 3-5% we smoked versus 20-35% on much of todays available pot, both Sativa and Indica. I do not know if there is any hard science per say apart from the fact their is no known lethal dose of THC (by lethal I mean purely from its bodily effect not doing stupid things like climbing and falling out of trees). I agree with its healing principles but all things we ingest can have an effect either negative or positive. Many patients taking anti-inflammatory's such as Arthrotec have been warned about its affect on the heart with long term use and doses heavier than 40mg daily.
