Just as likely to impact American companies hard, as the rise of the Chinese economy is largely the result of American companies 'off-shoring' to Chinese labor markets for decades, along with the IP's & tech know-how that were necessary to make it all happen....the Chinese took the ball & continue to run with it. The cat has been let out of the bag & I-for-one seriously doubt there is any going back, to any meaningful extent, without a major upheaval that would cripple both economies...and quite possibly, worse. Given all this, I think a 'reasonable person' would start right here in the USA by directly addressing the 'off-shoring' problem these American companies thrive on...but with 'reason' being an increasingly rare commodity these days in decision-making, I won't hold my breathe on that.
