That is generally true in larger cap stocks and a theory that is wonderfully illustrated in a book called "Super Stocks"- I recommend reading it. It talks about the influence large investors and institutions have on the share price of a stock, and how they may indirectly be connected, or even have ownership, of the media sources that give that "buy or sell" recommendation to the masses. Usually, when they are saying "buy" it's because they are selling millions of shares, and vice versa. The book shows you charts along with a timeline underneath that highlight major news headlines and happenings at that time. The correlation is amazing. At the very least, it makes for an interesting read.
However, the OTC is the wild west... there is no rhyme or reason to when to buy and when to sell (most of the time). Of course every stock trades differently. You can use technicals at times, like you could with NTEK at one time. Not anymore. For the most part, it's all about manipulation, lies and computers that are responsible for most of the swings. Sorry to say- but its a crapshoot. I will say this is the most "real" OTC company I have invested in- whether it will be successful or not we shall see. This is dangerous territory for any investor so be smart.
