True Story, Wolfgang Puck and manners . . . .

When I was younger early 20's, I performed pest control services for restaurants. One morning I got into a famous french restaurant; " Ma Maison" very early 5 am.
And while there a young superstar chef locally Wolfgang Puck shows up at the restaurant (Wasn't famous internationally at the time yet) he being the head executive chef at Ma Maison in Hollywood at the time. Hot spot for entertainers and execs.
He had been playing basketball in the early morning hours as he comes into the restaurant smiling, maybe up all night, and drinking after ward.
At any rate he starts making breakfast for everyone, and asks me if I would like breakfast with them, and I say YES!
At any rate as he is cooking , some of the other young chefs show up starting the day cooking and one exec chef was loudly being extremely discourteous to some of the others subordinate chefs.
Wolfgang overhears it, and in a firm voice asked for everyone's attention, (complete silence ensued) and in a clear, firm, loud, determined voice, he laid the law down, he made it clear to all, the issue of manners to be displayed in his kitchen, by saying: Gentlemen!!, Remember! , "We are all Gentleman! , Serving Gentleman" ! Then he resumed cooking.
After that everyone was talking to each other addressing each other as Mr Chef , Please!... Mr Chef thank you! ....Mr Chef... Your'e welcome! and so on.
Made a big impression on me as a young man, carried that lesson through my experience with the businesses I started and has always served me well.
No matter our profession , we should always be, if you will; "Gentleman serving gentlemen !"
Had an amazing breakfast with Mr Puck and others that day.
