Here is some perspective on Entrust: 1. Entrus
Post# of 82672
1. Entrust was the only infringing company that felt that Strikeforce was also infringing on one of their products so they had filed a countersuit against Strikeforce.
2. We know that Blank Rome was/is on contingency from the final court documents of the Microsoft settlement. I also firmly believe that Ropes & Gray are also on contingency with 7 listed attorney's representing SFOR on their website and 4 individual lawsuits against major companies. ZPaul outlined the $3,500 per hour that Ropes & Gray commands for these types of litigations. Strikeforce paid 4.5 million to Blank Rome after the Microsoft case and Blank Rome is now listed as a partner of Strikeforce on their website.
THAT WAS FOR JUST ONE LAWSUIT!!! The point? How was Strikeforce going to pay to defend themselves against Entrust LAST YEAR without revenues?? These world class lawfirms are not going to DEFEND Strikeforce on continency. There is no money in defending a lawsuit. Microsoft never counter sued Strikeforce.
3. My thought: Entrust is privately very relieved that Strikeforce didn't have any real resources yet. Strikeforce is now in position to have all of the cards they need to make sure that anything that is thrown at them is overpowered. Note to you folks at Entrust: nice play! Timing was in your favor and you took advantage!
Everyone else....watch out!
