Attention Military Commanders all over this Country!!!!
Your troops are NOT props to be used by Donnie Shit-for-Brains.

I know that Donnie Short Fingers, with the help of the Russians, was somehow elected as our CinC. I know how hard that is to deal with at times, but whoever commands those Marines in San Diego yesterday, failed spectacularly.
I watched in horror yesterday as our current “temporary” occupant of the White House attacked his former political opponents and denigrated our free press in front of “captive” military troops. Equally horrifying was hearing some of those troops cheer, or laugh off those attacks. This is NOT normal, nor should it be accepted.
During my time in the Navy, I served under Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush II and Obama. Fortunately, I retired before the country completely lost its fucking mind.
I watched several of those diverse Presidents give speeches at military bases. On a couple of occasions, I was even fortunate enough to attend a speech by the CinC. NOT ONE TIME did I hear a partisan attack, or a denigration of the Free Press from any of those Presidents when they appeared in front of the troops.
You have a duty and a responsibility to ensure that doesn’t happen with this President.
You probably didn’t have to do that with former Presidents. The chances of President Obama attacking Mitt Romney, or President Bush attacking Al Gore in front of a “captive military audience”, were about as likely as a snowball surviving in hell.
In this case, you are dealing with a person with all the decorum, couth, restraint, understanding of our Democratic Republic and dignity of a petulant toddler.
You must work with the current President’s advance team to make sure they know that partisan attacks are for campaign rallies, NOT captive military audiences. You must make it clear to the White House that your troops, who you have ultimate responsibility for and authority to protect, will NOT be used as partisan political props.
Failure to do so is a breach of the oath you swore to uphold .
I served, and you serve…the United States of America. We don’t serve one man. We swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and to obey the orders of the President of the United States.
Our military has kept faith with that oath, no matter if an individual Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine, agrees, or disagrees with the policies and politics of the President that temporarily occupies the office of CinC. This standard has served us well for over 250 years, and is, in large part, why we are one of the few countries that enjoys a smooth, non-violent transfer of power from one administration to the next.
The Commander in San Diego failed miserably yesterday. I’m sure when the next Democratic CinC gets the Flag Promotion list, they’ll look closely to determine those officers that kept their oath…and those that DIDN’T!
