I lived next to Kennesaw, GA (and used to go up on Kennesaw Mtn. hunting for Civil War relics) and was proud when they passed the gun ownership law. I thought it a clever concept to give criminals 2nd thoughts when thinking of home invasions, car thefts and even starting any sh*t in the town. Everyone in the Atlanta surrounding area is familiar with the law and crime does remain very low in Kennesaw, GA.
