If you subscribe to the theory that someone is actually using the methods detailed by AlanC (markers in a warehouse), then yes, only a sale or SEC action will make them cover. If they are slightly less immune to price swings than Alan suggests I would expect any deal or wildly successful trial could drive them to cover. This assumes there is a hidden iceberg somewhere beneath the surface of IPIX...something I am a bit skeptical of particularly after seeing how many shares were sold to Aspire in 2017.
