Everyone, please remember there is a very large short position in the company (over 1.2MM legal shorts and maybe up to 5MM when you add in the nakeds) and this is their final gasp to wrench shares away from the average stockholder. I wrote the following to a good friend this AM, it explains my position re: todays price action. What it boils down to is you have to know what you are invested in: We know the value of IPIX (without P in the picture at all) is today worth billions on the B results alone and the knowledge that K actually does activate p53 as evidened by the Ovarian patients (though there were only 2) puts its value alone in the billions. Now we know that P odds for a very successful P2b are quite high, I will go so far as to say almost a lock. Shorts have about 9 to 15 trading days left until they become endangered as P results should cause some news to start flowing soon thereafter. I bought more this AM @ .545 (about 5K shares) and look at the share price between now and the end of the month as opportunities to top off the barrel at give-away prices. If I didn't have total belief in our drugs, I would be pissing in my pants as my holdings are extensive. But knowing what we know of our drugs and how positive everything seems to be going in Beverly, I feel like Dan Akroyd/Eddie Murphy in '"Trading Places" knowing that the market is totally wrong and will be completely flummoxed later in the month. Keep the faith, this is strictly the shorts fighting for their last gasp of life! Regarding the P trial, we already know there were no adverse events so safety is a lock, we already were as good as Otezla at the 200 dose trial in the P2a, and now in the P2b we are at 300 and 400 arms. I believe our efficacy is going to be damn near, if not as good as, the biologics making us the runaway leader for 1st recommended treatment status for Psoriasis. If we even only marginally beat Otezla we still are great as our safety and cost is so much better.
If the shorts didn't realize they were in a world of hurt, they wouldn't be still working so hard on all the message boards and doing so many wash trades (how much of todays action are just wash trades?) to try and fortify their position. I will post after market close a synopsis of trading today by a friend on INV HANGOUT who really knows how to read the tapes and she will be able to give a concise evaluation of all the tomfoolery going on today regarding "trading".
