Hey, GOP Wanna Talk About Hillary's Emails Now?

Come back with me to the days of yesteryear, when Republicans cast Hillary Clinton as a likely purveyor of our country’s most closely-guarded secrets, a woman so apparently guilty of nefarious doings, “lock her up!” became the battle cry of Trumpsters intent on seeing her imprisoned for her alleged crimes.

It was a simpler time, to be sure – because now we have people in the White House who have had a year’s worth of access to highly classified information, despite not being able to get a security clearance. Feel safer now?

So tell me, Republicans – because it’s a story we all love hearing, again and again – how the nation teetered on the precipice due to HRC’s email server. God only knows what closely-guarded national secrets might have found their way into our enemies hands due to her carelessness.

But be advised, it’s a story that now pales by comparison to an actual (so-called) “president” who didn’t bother with emails, but simply handed classified information to the Russians right there in the Oval Office. So much for protecting national security, eh?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s speaking fees now – or would you rather talk about Jared Kushner accepting a half-billion dollars in loans to bail out his family business, while using his position as an advisor to the pResident to “negotiate” those loans?

Or maybe we can talk about his desire to set up a “back door channel” to the Russians, so that the WH could communicate with our enemies directly without anyone in the US government being aware of it.

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s “shady dealings” now – or would you prefer to discuss the indictments, and the guilty pleas, of all of those “best people” Trump hand-picked to advise him and “carry out his agenda”?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s alleged loyalties to the wealthy which rendered her out-of-touch with the hard-working middle-class – or would you rather talk about your “pResident’s” tax reform, which only benefits the wealthiest individuals and corporations, and leaves the average American family still struggling to make ends meet?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s “blatant dishonesty” – or would you rather talk about the fact that thus far, your “pResident” has been clocked-in at an average of five-plus lies per day since he’s been in office?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s alleged ties to “shadowy underworld types” – or would you rather talk about your “pResident’s” long-standing – and well-documented – ties to organized crime?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s totally laughable involvement in a child sex-slave ring – or would you rather talk about the many, many women who have accused the self-proclaimed “pussy-grabber-in-chief” of sexually molesting them?

Do you want to talk about the investigations into Hillary’s email server, her role in the events in Benghazi, and her willingness to answer any and all questions about both – or would you rather talk about your “pResident” desperately trying to avoid being questioned by Mueller’s investigative team with respect to his possible collusion with our nation’s enemies, the Russians?

Do you want to talk about Hillary’s penchant for being self-serving – or would you rather talk about your “pResident” using the office of POTUS to promote his “brand” and increase his personal wealth?

Do you want to talk about Hillary being unfit for the office of POTUS – or would you rather talk about your “pResident’s” inane tweets, his easily-debunked lies, his inability to grasp the workings of government, and his ridiculous buffoonery on the world stage?

Do you want to talk about your “pResident’s’ business acumen – or would you rather talk about his bankruptcies, or the investors he left holding the bag when his much-touted business enterprises went belly-up?

Yeah, GOP, we have a lot to talk about – the problem being that you seem to have your fingers permanently embedded in your ears, while yelling ”la, la, la, I can’t hear you.”

Everyone with a functioning brain – or even a modicum of common sense – knows that your “pResident” is an abysmal failure not only as the leader of a nation, but as a husband, a father, a businessman, and a human being. So when are you going to wise up?

Until you do, I’m afraid that trying to talk to you is an exercise in futility. Fortunately, the conversation about your idiot “pResident” is ongoing – not only at home, but around the world. And whether you choose to participate in the discussion or not is no longer relevant, or of any consequence whatsoever.
