dw, Geez, I have never thought of school shootings as "desensitized" us. God what an obvious thought that passed me right by.
I have stated that a New World Order might be a good thing, for a while. But, "absolute power corrupts absolutely", forgot who said that. My property taxes went up 15% this year. The suburb of 30,000 people is like it's own dictatorship.. yes, my valuation went up, but when it falls, taxes don't, what a racket.
The whole purpose of government is to make itself bigger, if they think like that or not. Socialism has never worked for long, but combining it with free enterprise might make it last a bit longer? Russia and China with "Planned economies" are not doing awful. But Brazil is doing terrible with it. It's government has been much more corrupt than Russia or China.
Whatever they got planned I have no control of.
Hey dw, I'm 71. I lived in the most affluent country the world has ever seen. I probably will not see hard times before I die. I am thankful.
