'They Have a Choice to Make':
Georgia Hits Back at Delta for Nixing NRA Member Discount

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) is threatening Atlanta-based Delta Airlines over its decision to sever ties with the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Delta is one of more than a dozen companies to drop discount programs and other affiliations with the NRA in the wake of the Parkland, Florida high school shooting.

Cagle, who is running for Georgia governor, on Monday pledged to kill any tax legislation that benefits Delta unless it reverses course and realigns with the pro-Second Amendment organization.

I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA. Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back.

On "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday, Cagle explained that the state House of Representatives recently approved a tax break on jet fuel that could save Delta $40 million, but the state Senate has yet to act on the bill.

"I have been very clear with Delta that I wish they would take their boycott out and away from the NRA, but sadly enough, it doesn't sound like they're going to," Cagle said. "They chose to single out the NRA and their membership -- law-abiding gun owners -- and I don't think that's right."

He said he has to govern based on principles, and now Delta has a choice to make.

Brian Kilmeade noted that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) tweeted at Delta, inviting them to move their headquarters to The Empire State.

"I don't think New York has anything to offer Delta we do not already offer," Cagle said.
