nurses who bave been in the field for many yrs can make that kind of money in non union jobs. i work in healthcare and do mri s on people. One of the biggest issues is bad backs from moving pts to clean them change linens move pts from their bed to a gurney to be sent to Radiology etc. many nurses are small compared to their pts. My own back is trashed after being in the field for 31 yrs. As far as nurses go. they are the one that prevent resident drs from prescribing the wrong dose. they are the ones who are trained in advanced cardoac life support. they are the o es who work 12 hr shifts usually 7 to 7. they are the ones who will care for you at the worst times of uour life..they are the ones who deal with all kinds of viruses. blood and body fluids and diseases that needs isolation from. they are also requiref to do mandatory co tiuing education for the rest of yheir career. Until u walk in their shoes you shouldnt complain about the 50 dollars an hour as that is grosz pay and 35 an hour is closer to what they make. i myself hate unions and am not in o e now but any money nurses are paid is justified
