3 weeks ago, the Trumpkins were doing everything in their power to discredit the Mueller investigation, to make people think it was a hoax or witch hunt. They thought the "Nunes Memo" would kill the probe.

Then last week, Mueller released the indictments of 13 Russians and 3 Russian companies.... all people he has no ability to ever bring to trial. Why? Because it killed the "hoax/witch hunt" meme and made it virtually impossible for Trump to fire Rosenstein or Mueller.

Last week was all about protecting the probe and laying down the predicate that actual crimes against the U.S. were committed.

By doing that, he robbed the Trumpkins of the ability to politicize the Gates/Manafort news this week as part of a "witch hunt". He neutralized the White House's tactic of discrediting the probe.

So the Trumpkins are left with no plan of attack with respect to today's news.... other than to distance themselves from Manafort and Gates.

Have you noticed that the Republicans in the House who were behind the Nunes Memo aren't saying anything today? Even as one of their own, Dana Russianbacker (R-Moscow) is getting caught up in it?

They know. They know where this is going.

Mark Meadows has nothing to say.
Devin Nunes has nothing to say.
Jim Jordan has nothing to say.

Their memo Hail Mary fell incomplete. And now they're stuck.

Mueller is a genius.
