NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch joined Sean Hannity live at CPAC Thursday night to react to CNN's Wednesday night town hall on gun violence.
During the event -- which was organized in the wake of the deadly Florida school shooting -- Loesch was confronted by victims' families and survivors, in addition to an extremely hostile crowd.
“You heard that town hall last night, they cheered the confiscation of firearms,” Loesch said at CPAC Thursday morning, noting there were thousands in attendance. "I had to have a security detail to get out. I wouldn’t have been able to exit that if I did not have a private security detail. There were people rushing the stage and screaming 'burn her.' And I came there to talk solutions.”
On "Hannity," Loesch said walking to the town hall stage at BB&T Center made her feel like boxer Floyd Mayweather making his way to the ring for a match.
"You came in through part of the arena and you walked through, between all these people, and you got up on stage. It was pretty chaotic," Loesch said, revealing that she had many horrible threats and insults thrown at her.
She added that as she walked out after the town hall concluded, she was met with chants of "shame!" like "Game of Thrones" character Cersei Lannister.
"If I did not have a three-person detail with me, I would not have gotten out of the arena," Loesch said.
