According to this report, it looks like Samsung wasn't willing to gamble that a true full-on electro-emissive QLED display could be realized near term & settled for 2nd best...for now. Either that, or getting a jump on LG to prevent them from doing the same exact thing, first ? In any case, I doubt this would rule-out an eventual switch to true QLED, when the time comes.
