I never thought Minnesota would get $5B from 3M. 3M has been probably the biggest employer in the state the last 100 years and they strongly support the political system and are a key force behind the University of Minnesota. The settlement amounts to about .56% of their enterprise value, and with 2017 net income of $4,858.000,000, I'd call in a soft slap on the wrist. Kind of like Wells Fargo paying little for their stage coach drivers robbing their own passengers.
Deep State wins again.
