Lithium-focused mining company Standard Lithium Ltd. (TSX.V: SLL) (FRA: S5L) (OTCQX: STLHF) this morning issued an update on the ongoing exploration program at its California lithium properties. Per the news release, the company and its drilling contractors have completed six exploration boreholes across the Bristol Dry Lake Project area, and three of the exploration holes have had temporary sampling casing installed in order to facilitate the collection of high quality lithium brine samples. Drilling is also underway on an observation well. When completed, this well will allow for robust pumping tests to be performed at the project. Detailed lithium brine analyses are expected to be issued following the collection of representative brine samples and completion of related quality assurance testing. All data gathered from the Bristol Dry Lake Project will be used to advance the maiden resource estimate, which is expected to be released toward the end of Q2 2018. Standard also confirmed plans for a large-scale, detailed gravity geophysical survey of the Cadiz Dry Lake lithium property, which is expected to commence on February 21, 2018.
