We are going through the same thing we went through with Alcohol during prohibition. Remember follow the money! The States need to find money to run their economy. Taxes are the answer. It hurts the public less by adding a few cents to each purchase and the States can continue to operate. The public always gets screwed one way or another. They go for the acceptable blow that hurts the least.
