I beleive that "Funding Partner" carries a lot more meaning regarding 4K/UHD presentation and 4K studios.
I consider it highly likely that there are companies/people that own considerable and valuable content that currently is not obtaining viewership in a profitable format. By rescuing NTEK at this bottom dollar low water mark, and at this moment in time just prior to 3.0, these owners plan to earn the right to have NTEK present their content fairly and positively and to inexpensively bring that content into the future with 4K Studios.
In exchange they have been paying NTEK's freight for almost a year in a way that has allowed David the time needed to "completely remake" NTEK's software. 3.0 not only refocuses NTEK's ability to stream high quality images, but to do that at a much reduced price.
I think that those People, Lenders etc consider David indispensable to the effort; and David is unwilling to sell for pennies.
So they made a deal. I think we need to be looking for a Classic Show Category. Shows that many of us will remember fondly and may be happy to pay to see again.
