The Coates engine CSRV only requires the heads be swapped out on a 4 stroke, far easier and much less costly.
The ship engine shown is mistakenly a two stroke rather than the 4 stroke picture I wanted to insert. I am sure that GC could find a way to use a CSRV on the 2 stroke. The 2 strokes are notoriously dirty requiring much additional machinery to get them to a bare acceptance level.
Licensing the CSRV to large engine rebuild companies would be a cash cow for the next fifty years.
