The picture came out incorrectly and messed up the text. The idea being that national ports of EU & other countries are now demanding that low sulphur diesel oil be used by ships. That requires new engines for higher efficiency. That also means replacing the huge engines by cutting the ship apart, 10s of millions $ per ship engine
The Coates engine CSRV only requires the heads be swapped out on a 4 stroke, far easier and much less costly.
The ship engine shown is mistakenly a two stroke rather than the 4 stroke picture I wanted to insert. I am sure that GC could find a way to use a CSRV on the 2 stroke. The 2 strokes are notoriously dirty requiring much additional machinery to get them to a bare acceptance level.
Licensing the CSRV to large engine rebuild companies would be a cash cow for the next fifty years.
Just for yuks I will post a 4 stroke (I believe) picture.
