Farage: Instead of Russian Collusion,
Press Should Look at Where Soros' Billions Are Going
< >
Former United Kingdom Independence Party Leader Nigel Farage said the world need to keep a closer eye on the activities of billionaire investor and political activist George Soros.
Farage underlined that nothing Soros has done has been illegal, but that with the billions he has spread around the world for left-wing causes, "nation-state democracies" should be concerned.
"We all need to wake up to who George Soros is and how big his [Open Society Foundations] organization is," Farage said of the 87-year-old.
Farage said Soros was born and raised in Hungary and lived through Nazi rule before moving to London, then spending the last half-century in New York.
He said that Soros has donated untold sums to organizations seeking to overturn the Brexit decision - for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union - since the populace voted in the affirmative.
"He doesn't believe in what he calls 'nationalism' [or] what I call 'nation-state democracy'," Farage said, adding that Soros is in favor of open borders and "mass migration" in order to "get rid of the nation-state."
"In an era when much of the media is obsessing about Russia collusion, [an] investigation is needed into exactly what Open Society has done."
Farage recalled how Soros made his billions getting "call after call right" in the stock market.
In the 1990s, Soros bet against the British pound's strength consummate to the Deutsche mark, making $1.5B in a single month.
Last year, a Republican candidate in Pennsylvania's 2018 gubernatorial election accused a man recording him at a private event of being a Soros-funded "tracker" - someone hoping to catch a candidate saying something unfortunate.

"I'm not going to back down from you or your bullies," State Sen. Scott Wagner of York said. "I'm going to tell the people that I represent here in Pennsylvania I'm going to continue to forge forward."
