Instead of publicly questioning business decisions that neither you nor anyone knows the relevant details of, or the prevailing issues at that time, why not privately write to the CEO and get your questions answered? That way, you’ve got the best chance of having an answer to your question, if that is your actual intention. The added advantages are that you don’t insult the company execs with what appear to be provocative instigation, and you don’t waste a bunch of time generating uninformed, wildly speculative responses.
