The current wholesale price for naphtha is around $2/gallon, same with diesel.
There are 42 gallons/bbl of oil
A bbl of oil costs around $65 or so (depending on the source)
At $2/gallon, the daily sales would be $840,000 on a cost of $650,000 not including daily energy and labour costs plus fixed plant costs. So, potentially $100,000/d costs.
Profit daily of around 90-$100,000 goes to debt. Life of project well over 40 yrs.
Pps value of project is usually 10x-15x multiple of earnings.
Earnings is $210 million/yr on 250 days operating per year for a 10,000 bbl facility.
10x earnings would be $2.1 billion. Even with 5 billion combined o/s at time of completion would put this well over $.4
You can imagine what a 100,000 bbl facility with more complicated products would bring.
All of this is my quick calculation based on what I know about the industry
