You're making a completely wrong assumption. Leo and Drs. Menon and Bertolini have seen the raw data, and the company is analyzing it. It would be unusual for them to outsource the analysis.
Some companies have done poor analysis on their data so that the average investor and fund manager misinterpreted positive results to be negative results. I hope that they take plenty of time to slice and dice the numbers in the way that will be most meaningful to non-scientists.
