The FINRA short percentages are based on the total volume for the day. The MM's report what they had to sell short that day in order to make a market. The volume total however is often manipulated utilizing wash trades to simulate volume and manipulate the price per share as well as lowering the short percentage reported at the end of the day. NTEK IMO has been under attack by non retail short sellers for a long long time and those short sellers would love to drive the company into bankruptcy. Understand that the reason companies go public in the first place is to raise capital to grow and expand the business by selling shares.. By selling shares that do not exist the share price is driven down making each real share less valuable than it would normally be.
The management of small companies like NTEK often have no idea of what these criminals are capable of until serious damage has been done and I believe that was the case here as IMHO there never would have been the 25/1 reverse split had the company not been attacked.
I think the company is now on the offensive and is working a plan whose end result will force those short to buy back their air shares or suffer huge losses. It won't be easy and it is my opinion that the shorts will not cover until forced. I am rooting for the company to do just that. Go NTEK!!!
