I remember my dad saying things like you just said.
He is glad he is not going to see the shit to come !!
His big concern wasn't Russian nukes.
It was the one world'rs having a go at things.
He had a civilian uppity job Ft Harrison (now defunct)
with DCASS Indiana DOD contract compliance/inspection dept.
